*NEW* Christmas Savoury Pie

@Ms.theblue Christmas Pie for every party and gathering! Using Del Monte tomato paste and sauce for a simple pie dish. All the ingredients can be purchased at major supermarkets islandwide Singapore.


Pie skin:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 6-8 tbsp ice water

Meat filling:


Pie skin

  1. Mixed all dough ingredients to form a dough and let it rest for at least 1 hr.

Meat filling and Pie

  1. Heat up wok and add garlic. Stir fry till fragrant.

  2. Add mincemeat, stir fry.

  3. After meat turn white, add diced tomatoes, onion and carrots. Stir fry till all ingredients mix well.

  4. Add Del Monte Tomato Paste and Tomato sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are cooked.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Flatten the dough into pie skin and put it onto pie mold. Remove extra dough.

  7. Add the cooked meat filling on the pie mold. Top the filling with remaining pie skin.

  8. Bake at 180 degree C at 40 minutes.

  9. Serve and enjoy!

Options: Choice of meat; pork, chicken, beef or lamb etc
